The Regional Police Officer Malakand Sajjad Khan on Wednesday paid a day long visit of District Buner wherein, he reviewed the overall law and order situation of the district.
The RPO on this occasion, met with representatives of local Dispute Resolution Council (DRC), and presided over a meeting of police officers, serving in the district.
Earlier, on arrival to Police lines Dagar Buner, the District Police Officer (DPO) Salahuddin and other police officers welcomed the RPO, while a smart contingent of police force presented him guard of honor.
The RPO laid wrath of flower at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and prayed for the sole of police Shuhada who have embraced Shahadat in various incidents at past. During his visit, the RPO also met with families of police martyred and provided gifts to their family’s members.
On this occasion the RPO, while addressing a police darbar, lauded the role and sacrifices of police force during the past adverse conditions and said that the durable peace in the region has been brought due to bravery of police force and their given huge sacrifices in this regards.
He further said that police will continue to perform their duties for the protection of people’s lives, property and dignity for a crime free and peaceful society.
He directed the police officers to take stern action against criminals and elements involved in drugs and other social offences.
The RPO added that the overall peace situation in the district was Alhamdulillah stable and police force was committed to maintain this peaceful environment sustained in future as well. He said that no one be allowed to detoriate peace and stability of Malakand region, police were alert to protect their people’s lives and soil, the RPO said.
Meanwhile, RPO appreciated the significant role of DRC forum, for solving social disputes, through mutual negotiations and understanding outside courts. He said that the same body would be strengthened more so that to make it more affective for public problems solutions.
