Police setup blood donation camp in Khyber

KHYBER : In the memory of Khyber police martyrs, a blood donation camp was set up here in the police line, Levies Center, Jamrud, district Khyber last day.

The activity was organized by the Frontier Blood Foundation with assistance of district police department.

As per details 64 policemen, officers and others donated blood for saving the lives of more than six thousand patients of thalassemia, hemophilia and blood cancer registered with the Frontier Foundation.

District police officer (DPO), Muhammad Imran who also visited the camp and appreciated spirit the police personnel, while contributing for the noble cause.

Speaking on the occasion DPO said that the purpose of establishing the welfare event was to pay homage and to remember the martyr police officials who laid down their lives for the sake of their motherland.

Khyber police was not only executing their deities with honesty but also keenly took part in human relief activities across the district, he added and said being a member of civil society it was binding on every citizen to extend every possible assistance to the patients of fatal disease.

An official of the Foundation thanked the force for extending their help and support for the blood patients.
