PESHAWAR: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Rubina Khalid has said that fake and misleading cases were registered in the previous governments to malign, demean and defame the party senior leadership. While reacting to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) latest verdict in Faryal Talpur case, she said PPP senior leadership was politically victimised for vested interests but finally truth prevailed in all cases. The president of PPP women wing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rubina Khalid termed the ECP decision on merit and criticised political opponents for registering fake cases against the party leaders. “Faryal Talpur’s disqualification petition rejection by ECP is a victory for democracy and victory for truth,” she added and said that PPP leadership has always served the nation instead of wasting its time in pursuing baseless cases against its political opponents.
