‘Peace a pre-requisite’ for prosperity, development says Barrister Saif

Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Information and Public Relations Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has said that peace is essential to development and prosperity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that serious efforts needed for maintaining law and order situation in the province.
Barrister Saif urged the students to study critically the ongoing developments in the province by adhering themselves with the nation’s ideology.
He expressed these views while addressing a two-day ‘peace fair’ organized by Department of International Relations University of Peshawar (UoP) in collaboration with ISPR and Department of Information and Youth Affairs.
The event was attended by a large number of students of the public and private sector universities of the province.
More than 70 stalls based on the culture of different areas were set up in the fair while discussions on various topics were also organized in which experts participated and answered the questions of the students.
Speaking on the occasion, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said that debate on certain important national issues necessary to expand the student’s critical thinking horizon.
Peace is very important for development and collective efforts are needed for gaining long-lasting development and prosperity goals, he added and said that three generations have been experiencing heat of war in the region.
“Young people should deeply analyze the situation and events taking place in the region. Our country is being affected by the external aggressions on Afghanistan,” he added.
The Barrister said that students should give priority to national identity and ideological background.
