ISLAMABAD
Election Commission (EC) has rejected the petition seeking disqualification of Sindh Assembly (SA) member Faryal Talpur.
The petition was filed by members of Sindh Assembly from PTI.
THE EC declared the evidence provided by the petitioner is insufficient.
The EC reserved the judgment after hearing the petition and later announced the decision.
The EC had reserved judgment on October 27 following the completion of the arguments.
PTI members from Sindh Assembly Arsalan Taj and Rabia Azfar had filed the petition in EC in connection with disqualification of Faryal Talpur.
They had taken plea in the petition Faryal Talpur had not shown her correct assets.
It has been said in EC decision Member Sindh Assembly Faryal Talpur had shown her assets.
Solid evidence is required for deseating any member of assembly. What evidences have been presented are insufficient.
