PESHAWAR
Auqaf, Hajj, Religious & Minority department and district administration in a joint anti-encroachment operation on Thursday retrieved about seven kanal of Auqaf land from the land-grabbing mafia in Hindkowan area on Warsak Road.
The operation against the land-grabbers was carried out under the supervision of Administrator Auqaf Hamid Ali Gigayani and Assistant Commissioner (AC) Tehsil Shah Alam Peshawar Dr Iza Arshad.
During the operation, the Auqaf property was retrieved after demolishing encroachments.
Administrators Auqaf on the occasion issued instruction to quarters concerned to identify and demarcate other illegal encroachments in the tehsil and conduct operation against the land grabbers.
Officials were directed to submit a detailed report on Auqaf lands occupied illegally.
He expressed his determination to continue such operations in the future and thanked the officers and all other staff of the district administration for their cooperation with the department.
There will be no compromise with the illegal occupants of the Auqaf properties because these properties have been dedicated by philanthropists for graveyards, mosques and other welfare activities.
