Snatchers gang busted; looted motorcycles and weapon recovered

Islamabad capital Police robbery and dacoity unit (RDU) has apprehended two members of a gang involved in snatching and recovered four motorbikes and weapons from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Islamabad capital police had categorically started a crackdown against criminal elements in order to save the precious lives and property of citizens.
Following the directions a Police team under the supervision of DSP property apprehended two members of a snatcher gang involved in looting people in the twin cities. Police team also recovered four motorbikes and pistol with ammunition from their possession. The accused were identified as Rizwan and Farhad Kamal. Cases against nominated accused have been registered and further investigation is underway.
Senior police officers appreciated the performance of the police team and added that it is the prime responsibility of police to provide relief to the citizens and every possible effort would be made to ensure it.
