Council holds event in connection with Christmas

Pakistan Council of World Religions Faith Friends organized an event on the occasion of Christmas which was attended by the representatives of different religious groups.
The event was addressed by Dr Sara Safdar, Chairman of Social Work Department, Dr Shakeel Ahmed, Chairman of Pakistan Council of World Religions, Faith Friends, Qari Ruhullah Madani. The speakers urged the participants to play their due role in spreading awareness about the fundamental teachings of religions for uniting the society.
They said that every religion teaches righteousness and goodness and man should pay respect every religion.
“All we are against sectarianism. We also celebrate the festival of Christmas with the same devotion and respect. As much as our Christian brothers and sisters,” speaker added.
Qari Ruhullah Madani said that we have to work together to increase the role of women at the provincial level so that the position and status of women can be further increased by raising public awareness. The activities including music, children competition games and Santa also distributed gifts among the children.
