An important meeting held here on Friday with SSP Operations Kashif Aftab Abbasi in the chair, reviewed the security situation in the provincial capital and ways to control aerial firing on New Year night.
The meeting was held at Malik Saad Shaheed Police which was attended by SDPOs, SP Cantt Muhammad Azhar Khan, SP City Abdul Salam Khalid, SP Security Atiq Shah and others.
The forum deliberated over the effective steps to curb the menace of aerial firing in Peshawar on New-Year night.
The meeting also discussed in detail the law and order situation in the city, cantonment, Hayatabad and other circles of the provincial capital.
SSP Operations Peshawar Kashif Aftab Abbasi directed the quarters concerned to expedite operations against the anti-social elements.
He directed for continues information based search and strike operations and instructed SDPOs to monitor different check-posts and blockades
Kashif Aftab Abbasi called for effective action against the vehicles with black glasses.
He said that all available resources would be utilized to maintain the law and order situation, adding that security of the people was the top priority of the police force.
Instructions were issued to police officials for controlling aerial firing, one-wheeling and indiscriminate operations against those creating problems on New Year Night in Peshawar.
SSP Operations maintained on the occasion that strict action will be taken against policemen showing negligence.
