Pakistan and Iran share close cultural ties: DG-CTA

Director General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (CTA) Mohammad Bakhtiar Khan on Friday said that Pakistan and Iran have common cultural roots which could help the two states understand each other better.
He said that Pakistan was committed to taking all possible measures to resolve the bottlenecks to significantly augmented bilateral trade and culture ties with Iran.
Mohammad Bakhtiar Khan expressed these views during a meeting with Director General Khana Farhang Iran Peshawar Mehran Eskandrian at the office of KP CTA.
On this occasion, DG Khana Farhang Iran Mehran Eskandarian said that a cultural festival and exhibitions to showcase the culture and tourism of both Islamic and neighboring countries could be organized in Nishtar Hall Peshawar.
“There is a need to create an exchange program between the two countries for people related to tourism, culture, sports and trade, which will not only promote tourism and culture but also trade ties will also be opened in the province,” he added.
DG Khana Farhang Iran Pesawar also requested to organize an Iranian cultural fair in Nishtar Hall Peshawar, in which Iranian films, photo exhibition of historical and touristic places of Iran and Pakistan, cultural stalls and other events will be organized.
Muhammad Bakhtiar Khan also presented a souvenir and a shield to DG Mehran Eskandarian on his arrival at the office.
