208 graduates of BS programs received degrees at 3rd convocation
PESHAWAR
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali has said that despite financial crunches the University of Peshawar (UoP) provide with quality education, saying practical steps would be ensured to resolve the long lasted problems of the universities in the province.
He urged the students to achieve their goals with great determinations, excellent vision and purity in your characters.
Addressing the 3rd convocation of BS programs at UoP as chief guest here on Friday, Haji Gulam Ali maintained Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif would be invited to visit the virasity and hopefully the financial problems of the university would be solved very soon.
The Governor conferred degrees on graduating students of BS programs.
A total of 208 students of BS graduating programs were conferred on degrees including gold medals to 28 students for their excellent performance.
Addressing the convocation, Vice Chancellor (VC) of UoP Dr Muhammad Idrees thanked the governor for his presence and gave detailed information about the university and its staff.
He also mentioned the financial difficulties and other problems faced by the university at present.
Later, in his speech, Governor Haji Ghulam Ali said that despite financial difficulties, this historical institution has made the name of the nation and the country bright not only throughout the country but also in the world by providing training to talented students.
Governor Haji Ghulam Ali said that the students must accept the challenges of the present era and learn from history.
