English pace bowler Jofra Archer, who has been in and out from his national side, is eying an international return, as per media reports.
“2022 thank you. 2023 I’m ready,” Archer on Sunday took to Twitter to announce his return.
Having bought him for Rs 8 crore, Indian Premier League (IPL) side Mumbai Indians sorely missed the injured Archer last season. The record five-time IPL champions may finally hope to see his dream pairing with India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah in the upcoming season, India’s NDTV reported.
In March this 2022, Jofra Archer in an interview had heaped praise on Pakistan Super League (PSL). In PSL 2018, Jofra Archer had the chance to play for Sarfaraz Ahmed’s Quetta Gladiators.
“One thing I’d like to point out that many people are unaware of is that my time in the PSL before my international debut was essential in helping me comprehend the requirements of the modern T20 cricket. While performing under Sarfaraz is similar to playing under [Eoin] Morgan, both have been strong leaders,” Archer had told Jarrod Kimber’s podcast ‘Red Inker’.
