PESHAWAR
Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah has demanded the government and relevant institutions to take pragmatic steps for mitigating sufferings of flood victims which are in difficult situations in chilly weather.
Shah observed flood victims are being faced with severe hardship owing to harsh and cold winter. He asked for immediate measures for assistance of flood hit people and fulfill requirements of food.
A proper shelter facility should be provided to the helpless flood-ravaged people/families, he demanded.
More than 3.5 million people have extremely suffered from difficulties while central and provincial governments engaged in political manipulation/maneuvering, allegations and buying and selling, the ATP chief added.
Talking about further miseries of the general public during a meeting here on Saturday, Shah said flour, pulses and other food items on subsidized rates were unavailable to people despite waiting for hours in long queues.
The ATP chief raised the question: “Will they appeal to international institutions for essential items”?
Government and administration unseen anywhere while the price check mechanism wasn’t implemented, Mr Faiq noted.
He emphasized not political trickery but the need to deliver justice and authority to people.
The party chief observed a sole campaign is being carried out from Khyber to Karachi that is only for gaining power and the rest of people left alone, which are erasing in rampant price-hike and unemployment.
Competent and intelligent youth are making vigorous efforts for going abroad, Mr Shah added.
The party chief asked: “Is such a government and administration able to provide justice and authority to people”? as they are lacking any plan for education, agriculture, economy, business and employment.
Shah vowed to expose this illicit political business. He stressed a strategy should be put before the nation so that people will get justice and authority through using direct powers at their doorstep.
The party chairman called upon the youth belonging from all federating units to come forward and get rid the nation from the political deceptions.
He continued to say that the government’s utmost duty is to create job opportunities for youths.
Education should be promoted as per modern needs and requirements, especially the demand of jobs so that unemployment won’t be piled up but youth will play a leading role in the progress of the country, he concluded.
