Transport Minister inaugurates new express route of Trans-Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The provincial minister for transport and mass transit Malik Shah Muhammad Khan on Wednesday formally inaugurated another express route of Bus Rapid Trans (BRT) which will run from Shah Alam Bridge to Mall of Hayatabad. The newly inaugurated express route is an important route which would connect the rural and people from district Charsadda to Peshawar. Talking to media persons on the occasion, Malik Shah Muhammad Khan Wazir said that BRT Peshawar is an important project of the incumbent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. He said that provision of standard public transport facilities to its citizens in the provincial capital was a vision of the party chairman Imran Khan. Due to its best travel facilities, BRT has also been awarded with many international awards, the present provincial government is using all the resources for providing other facilities to the people, he said. Shah Mohammad maintained that 62 new buses are being added to BRT Peshawar along with five new feeder routes which will benefit a large number of people. Opposition parties and those in ruling in the centre had criticized the BRT project but today the project is getting international appreciation, he added and said that BRT has proved to be a successful project of the PTI government in KP.
