A protest demonstration of Jamiat Ullemae Islam Fazal Rehman(JUI-F)Khyber chapter against price rising in flour and other edibles was held here at Babe Khyber,Jamrud on Thursday.
Besides volunteers of JUI-F-number of common men carrying placards inscribed with slogans in their favor participated in the protest rally.
They chanted against the provincial government and the Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) for uncontrolling artificial scarcity of flour in the province.
Addressing on the occasion local leaders of JUI-F including Haji Karim Afrid, Said Kabeer Afridi,Maulana Gul Nawaz,Maulana Dilawar Darwash and others condemned the spectator attitude of the CM Mehmood Khan and his minister towards the problem of the people and blamed them for artificial flour crises created across the province.
Enough wheat had been stored by the provincial government however it didn’t supply to the crushing mills proved the mal-intention of CM and his cabinet, they opined.
They urged the NAB and Food Department to seal the wheat godowns, forthwith provide it to mills to end the false shortage of flour so that the common man could easily buy it at a reasonable rate.
Instead of addressing the miseries of the masses, CM Mehmood Khan served the Pakistan Tehreeke Insaf(PTI)chairman Imran Khan in his Zaman Park, Lahore residency, the speakers maintained.
They vowed that the workers of JUI-F would adopt all measures to foil conspiracies and dramas of the CM Mehmood Khan.
