Resident of Mirdad Khel village of Landi Kotal has alleged the police officials of favoring his opponent in a land dispute case and demanded of the authorities to take departmental action against them.
Addressing to a press conference held here in Landi Kotal press club on Thursday Fazal Karim said that since long they had land dispute with his co-tribesmen namely Honar Wali,Daraz Ali and presently the case was under process in the civil court of Landi Kotal and it issued stay order on the construction work in the disputed land.
However his opponent who was rich and an influential person started building work in the undecided territory.
When he approached the local police station to materialize the stay order, they for one reason or another refused to make the court order effective.
He accused them of contempt of court and said the police collected illicit money from his opponent and let him continue the construction work.
He demanded of the police highup to provide him justice by stopping work at the disputed piece of land as he could not bear influence of the powerful person.
When Additional Station House Officer (SHO)Landi Kotal police station Azmat wali Shinwari was contacted on the matter he said that they strictly followed the order of the court and never thought of contempt of court.
Regarding the case he said that last day on the direction of the court he sent police persons accompanied by bellieff at the spot for necessary process and after it no one approached him for any legal action.
