In the third and final One Day International (ODI) match of the three-match ODI series between Australia and Pakistan women’s teams in Sydney, the host team of Australia defeated Pakistan by a huge margin of 101 runs to make the series three-nil.
Pakistan team Bisma Maruf won the toss and invited the Australian team to bat first. Beth Moone scored 133, Meg Lanning played a brilliant innings of 72 runs on behalf of Pakistan, Fatima Sana took three wickets, Diana Baig and Nashra Sindhu took two wickets each while Umaima Sohail took one wicket.
They managed to score 235 runs in the overs and lost the match by a clear margin of 101 runs. Captain Bisma Maruf scored 44 runs from Pakistan, Sudra Amin scored 34 runs, Sadaf Shams scored 30 runs and Nida Dar scored 29 runs.
Gardner took three wickets, Chase Johnsen took two wickets and Elena King took one wicket, Australia’s Beth Monae was named player of the match and player of the series.
