A large number of people took out a protest demonstration rally against unannounced gas load shedding and it’s low pressure here on Thursday.
According to details, a protest rally was started from tower roundabout and was ended at Kandhkot Press Club with slogans of stop artificial gas load shedding.
However residents of different areas of Kandhkot including Mumtaz Mohallah, Malik Mohallah, Ghuniya area, Gulsher Mohallah and others participated the rally.
They were carrying kitchen accessories such as frying pans, knives, spoons, chopping boards, kettles, rolling pins and others.
The demonstrators Mir Hasan Chachar, Adv Shabir Ahmed Jhakhrani, Dr Abdul Qayoom, Sanaullah Awan Nizakat Ali Malik and others complained that unscheduled and prolonged gas load shedding of 12 to 16 hours has become order of the day especially time of break fast and lunch.
They informed that they purchase food from the market mainly local restaurants as result their children suffers from stomach diseases such as gaestrol, diarrhea, vomiting, bloating and pain.
They further complained that despite several times complaints to Sui Southern Gas Company Limited they couldn’t resolve the matter. They said energy crises has fully distressed daily routine life.
They demanded from Gas authorities to solve the matter of gas suspension other wise protest would be extended. It is to be mentioned that with winter setting in slowly, It is estimated the dire need of gas would be increase day by day but it is sorrowfully to say in mostly areas of Kashmore and Kandhkot gas remains suspended or low pressure in the winter season compelling to people buying new cylinders for preparing food.
