A farewell function for the retiring DG Information and Public Relations Mr Imdadullah was held on Tuesday. Secretary Information and Public Relations Arshad Khan, Deputy Secretaries, Section Officers, information department’s directors, deputy directors, assistant directors along with ex president Peshawar Press Club M. Riaz, Senior journalist Shamim Shahid and other senior journalists attended the farewell function. It is worth to mention that besides DG Imdadullah, Directors Noor-ul-Hadi, Mian Amjad Ali Shah Kaka Khel, Zabita Khan Mohmad, Gul Karim and Administrative Officer Farman Ali have retired recently after completing their service tenure. Imdadullah has served the Information department for more than 30 years and during this period, he had been posted on different important posts. He had been director general Information for the last four years. Addressing the farewell function, Secretary Information and Public Relations Mr. Arshad Khan threw light on the services of Retiring DG Imdadullah and other directors said that these officers performed their duties efficiently and their services for the department would be remembered for a longer period. He further said that as DG Information, Imdadullah was a beacon for other officers.
He said the way he performed his duties honestly and deligently was is worthy of emulation for all.
Retiring DG Information Imdadullah in his address on the occasion thanked Secretary Information and all officers and officials of the department and said that the role of Information department in the present scenario is very important. He advised to have team work and better working relationships for fulfilling the official obligations. Retiring directors Noor-ul Hadi, Mian Amjad Ali Shah and Gul Karim in their addresses highlighted the role of information department in informing the people about the welfare steps of the government and conveying true information to them. Secretary Information Arshad Khan presented shields to Imdadullah Khan and other officers on the occasion.
