Former Pakistani captain and president of the Peshawar Zalmi franchise Inzamam-ul-Haq, has expressed his admiration for current Pakistani batsman Babar Azam.
In a recent interview with media at the National Stadium in Karachi, Inzamam stated that if given opportunity once again I would like to serve for Pakistan Cricket Board.
Inzamam praised the impact of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on the development of Pakistani players, saying that the exposure to international players has made a significant difference psychologically for the players.
League produced many good and talented players, he said, he also praised new Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam and expressed his desire to work with him.
Babar is best batter in the world right now. He is getting better day by day. I am confident that he will fulfill his role as a captain of Peshawar Zalmi, he said.
Inzamam believes that learning process for any player never ends. No one is complete, learning process never ends. Babar is a very good player and he will keep on learning, he maintained.
Inzamam-ul-Haq is enjoying his role as president of the Peshawar Zalmi franchise and is looking forward to working with young players to develop their skills.
He acknowledged that cricket has changed over the years and that players need to adapt to the new and fast-paced style of the game. Inzamam believes that a change in mindset is necessary for players to be successful in modern cricket.
