MARDAN: People visiting district headquarter (DHQ) hospital for treatment showed great concern over the touts of the private laboratories and demanded the administration to take action against the touts who looted the patients with both hands. It was learnt that dozens of substandard and illegal laboratories are located near the DHQ hospital. Untrained and uncertified technicians run these laboratories. Dozens of touts of these substandard and illegal laboratories are wandering in the DHQ and taking people to these laboratories for tests and looting the poor patients and also charging arbitrary rates for substandard tests from poor people. Due to which the doctors face difficulties in treatment and the precious lives of the patients are also threatened. The masses demanded the caretaker chief minister and secretary health to take strict action in this connection. ONLINE
