ISLAMABAD
International Monitory Fund has demanded Pakistan to impose taxes on privileged class and remove subsidies, said Kristalina Geogieva MD IMF during interview with German Television.
She said people from government and private sector (who have good earning) needed to add the parts.
Rich people of Pakistan should not be facilitated by the subsidies, she continued, subsidies should be transferred to the people who are really needy. IMF is clear that subsidies should only benefit to the deserving people. We want to protect Pakistan’s poor people.
Pakistan needs strict action to drive country instead of restructuring debt. She said we are sad upon recent flood devastation in Pakistan.
Flood affected one-third population of the country.
