07 outlaws arrested; drugs and weapons recovered

Islamabad capital police apprehended seven outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Secretariat police team arrested an accused namely Anwar ul Haq involved in drug peddling and recovered 520 gram heroin from his possession. Likewise, the Karachi Company police team arrested an accused namely Shakeel Ahmad involved in drug peddling recovered 2000 gram heroin from his possession.
Similarly, the Sabzi Mandi police team arrested an accused namely Faisal Khan involved in possessing illegal weapon and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession. The Tarnol police team arrested two accused namely Wahid Ali and Ali Bashir involved in drug peddling and recovered 600 gram Ice from their possession
Moreover, the Lohi Bher police team arrested an accused namely Safdar Khan involved in possession illegal weapon and recovered one 9mm pistol with ammunition from his possession. The Koral police tram arrested an accused namely Adeel Maqbool involved in drug peddling and recovered 1230 gram hashish from his possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a regular basis, he maintained.
