An important meeting held here on Monday with Caretaker Minister for Housing and Prisons Shafiullah Khan in the chair, reviewed arrangements for the upcoming winter snow festivals in Dir Uppir, Lower, and Bin Shahi.
These are the tourists destinations known for snow fall in the month of February and March.
The Director General of Tourism Department and other officers participated in the meeting.
On this occasion, Caretaker Minister issued instructions to concerned officials to take necessary action for holding winter festivals in above- mentioned tourists spots.
Mr Shafiullah Khan directed the administrative officers of both the districts to cooperate fully with the tourism department to make the snow festivals successful.
The forum was informed that preparations for the festivals in full swing and all necessary preparations have been given final touch.
The Director General of Tourism Department told the meeting that facilities centers will be established near Dir Lower, Uppar, and Lowari Tunnel to facilitate the tourists participating in the Snow Festivals.
Camping pods will be set up at Kumrat Valley and Lowari Tunnel tomorrow for tourists participating in the Shahi Bin Shahi Snow Festival without any difficulty and can easily reach the point.
Caretaker Minister Shafiullah Khan directed that all facilities should be provided to the tourists to make the snow festivals a success.
He said that organizing the snow festivals will promote tourism in the province, adding that there are many tourist spots in the province which attract not only domestic but foreign tourists.
