Sessions Court Islamabad has adjourned the proceedings regarding indictment of Imran Khan in Tosha Khana reference till February 28.
The criminal case with respect to Tosha Khana reference against Imran Khan came up for hearing before the court Tuesday.
The counsels for Imran Khan and Election Commission (EC) appeared in the court. The counsel for Imran Khan filed exemption plea in the court.
The counsel Gauhar Ali Khan told the court the X-RAY of Imran Khan will be taken on February 28. Today there was problem for Imran Khan in coming here.
The judge remarked if it continues so then the trial will go on becoming lengthy.
The counsel for EC raised objection over the exemption plea of Imran Khan.
He argued Imran Khan went to Lahore High Court on his own feet a day before.
The counsel for EC said requested the court medical examination of Imran Khan be got done from PIMS.
The judge remarked show the MLC of Imran Khan so that we may see the nature of injury.
The lawyer Gauhar Ali Khan told the court Imran Khan went to Lahore High Court from Zaman Park. The appearance in Islamabad kutchery is a bit difficult. Imran Khan did not come due to doctors advice and security reasons. There are cases against in Anti Terrorism court and other courts.
The judge while addressing the counsel remarked I am accepting always what you people are saying.
Indictment has to be made only after providing copies.
The court directed EC to provide copies to counsels of Imran Khan.
The judge remarked ensure the attendance of Imran Khan on next hearing. We will not raise objection on his exemption for today.
We give date for February 28. His attendance be ensured.
