Autism Centre established at Paraplegic Center Peshawar

Advisor to caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on health Dr Abid Jameel on Friday paid a visit to the Paraplegic Center Peshawar where he inaugurated an Autism Centre.
The chairman of the Paraplegic Center Zia-ur- Rahman, Chief Executive Dr Syed Mohammad Ilyas and others warmly received the advisor and briefed him about the faculties being provided to the patients in the centre.
He inspected different sections of the centre and interacted with the patients who visited the centre for treatment.
Dr Abid Jameel appreciated the professional skills of medical staff.
I am very impressed by the services provides to for physical rehabilitation, he said and added the provincial government would left no stone unturned to expand the centre for enhancing its services.
Dr Abid Jameel visited various departments of the institution and interacted with the patients under treatment and inquired about their well-being.
On this occasion, spinal cord injury patients told the advisor about the center Peshawar, apart from three meals a day, all treatment facilities and equipment are provided to them completely free of cost, while they appreciate the good behavior of the staff.
Dr Syed Muhammad Ilyas said that although the treatment and physical and psychological rehabilitation of children with autism is a difficult and patient task, the Paraplegic Center Peshawar has now taken up the task.
He also gave a detailed presentation to the health advisor about the overall performance of the institution.
Addressing the staff and students of the institution, Dr Abid Jameel assured to bring the expansion under a new planning of the institution.
