Islamabad capital police apprehended nine outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city. Following these directives, the Ramna police team arrested an accused namely Shariq Yameen possessing illegal weapon and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession. Golra police team arrested two accused namely Ali Sheer and Aftab Ahmed involved in illegally refilling gas cylinders. Similarly, the Sangjani police team arrested four accused namely Rafique Ullah, Mustafa, Aamir Mehmood and Murtaza and recovered 520 gram hashish, two 30 bore pistols and one 12 bore shotgun with ammunition from their possession.
