CCPO Mohammad Ijaz Khan on Monday held a special meeting with the representative delegation of Imamia Jirga headed by Brigadier (Rtd) Sartaj.
Maintaining peace and order during all religious festivals, including Ramadan, Muharram, is the first priority for which Capital City Police Peshawar is using all available resources, said CCPO.
The Imamia Jirga has always played a positive role in the peace of the city, which is appreciable, and in the future, they will perform their duties in a good manner for the peace and security of the city.
During the meeting, SSP Operation Harushid Khan, SP City Abdul Salam Khalid, SP Faqirabad Dr Muhammad Umar, SP Security Atiq Shah and other police officers were also present.
On this occasion, CCPO also appreciated the role of Imamia Jirga in promoting the atmosphere of peace and brotherhood in the city.
