Islamabad High Court (IHC) has barred police from arresting PTI leader Murad Saeed.
The petition filed by Murad Saeed for provision of details of cases against him and stopping police from arresting him came up for hearing before a single bench of IHC led by Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir Friday.
The court ordered that Murad Saeed be not arrested till the details of the cases are provided. No adverse action be taken against Murad Saeed.
The court remarked we will issue proper orders. We call the respondents and ask from them.
The court while issuing notice to respondents summoned the reply till next week.
Sher Afzal Murrawat advocate counsel for Murad Saeed appeared in the court .
The counsel of the petitioner told the court order be issued to provide detail of the cases registered against his client. The details of the ongoing investigation and inquiries being conducted by FIA and other institutions be also provided.
The police be prevented from arresting Murad Saeed till the decision of the petition.
PTI held protest against the removal of Imran Khan from his office. He led PTI protest rally in Swat. Thousands of PTI workers have been arrested. Raids were conducted on the homes of PTI workers. It has come to knowledge through media that cases were registered on the applications of PML-N workers. Cases have been registered in different police stations of Islamabad.
Interior minister is threatening Murad Saeed publicly. TTP is hurling threats on staging successful rally against militants in Swat. Security was withdrawn despite security threats. Orders be issued to provide proper security.
The court inquired have you requested for provision of security in your petition.
The counsel for the petitioner said yes we have requested for security.
The court remarked we will issue proper orders on it. we summon the respondents and ask from them.
The court while issuing notice to the respondents adjourned the hearing of the case till next week.
