Justice Isa suggests Justice Hilali and Ahmed Ali Sheikh for SCP

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan judge Justice Qazi Faez Isa has written a letter to all members of the Judicial Commission on the issue of two seats of judges lying vacant in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Justice Isa has suggested the names of Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Musarrat Hilali and Sindh High Court Chief Justice Ahmad Ali Sheikh for their elevation to the Supreme Court. In his letter, Justice Isa recommended to the members of the Judicial Commission to consider bringing these two judges to the apex court, keeping in view the principle of seniority. He called upon summoning the immediate meeting of the Judicial Commission, saying that currently only 15 judges are working in place of 17 judges. According to the sources, the purpose of this letters seemed that consideration should be given to bringing both the Chief Justices to the Supreme Court on the principle of seniority. DNA
