Mobile phones become 25% cheaper as govt withdraws regulatory duty

ISLAMABAD: Mobile phone users should become happy as imported mobile phone prices have been reduced by 25 per cent. The government has withdrawn the regulatory duty on imported mobile phones which makes mobile phones cheaper. Electronic Dealers Association (EDA) President Rizwan Irfan said the prices of imported mobiles have started getting cheaper in the market after removing the regulatory duty. He confirmed that after the government’s decision of ending regulatory duty, the prices of imported mobile phones will be 25 per cent cheaper. The EDA president was of the view that after the removal of regulatory duty, a mobile worth Rs30,000 will become Rs22,500. Mobile phones have started getting cheaper in the market. DNA
