ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Committee for appointment of judges has been summoned on 24 May on the matter of appointment of Chief Justice of Federal Shariat Court. Senator Rana Maqbool Ahmed will chair the meeting. Committee will review the recommendations of judicial commission on the matter of appointment of Chief Justice of Federal Shariat Court. Judicial Commission recommended the name of former Judge Iqbal Hameed Ur Rehman for the appointment of Federal Shariat Court chief justice. Parliamentary Committee will review and give approval.
