ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday threw out a petition of former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser for protective bail in the Swabi case over non-compliance. Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri conducted the hearing on the petition and expressed indignation at the absence of Asad Qaiser. “Where is Asad Qaiser?” Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri questioned. “Asad Qaiser is coming in a short while,” the associate lawyer told the court. “An announcement for the hearing of the case was made earlier too. It has now been made again. The courts do not wait for the accused,” Justice Tariq Jahangiri expressed anger. DNA
