ISLAMABAD
The cryptocurrency market remained on a slide for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, with the market cap losing 1 percent to reach $1.24 trillion.
As of 1230 hours GMT, Bitcoin, the world’s oldest and most valued cryptocurrency, slipped below the $30,000 mark to $29,881 with a decrease of 0.7 percent in the last 24 hours. The market capitalisation of the biggest crypto has reached $581 billion with this decrease. Bitcoin has been 1.7 percent down in the past seven days.
In the past 24 hours, Bitcoin twice fell below the $30,000 threshold. This consolidation in the market follows the gains it had made in the previous week.
The current market slowdown can also be attributed to various factors, including uncertainties in the US, recent layoff
