Quetta lawyer murder case
ISLAMABAD
Supreme Court (SC) has directed chairman PTI to appear in person before it on July 24 in Quetta lawyer murder case.
The court while accepting plea of Prosecutor General (PG) Balochistan seeking time for filing reply adjourned the hearing of the case till next Monday.
A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Yahya Khan Afridi took up for hearing petition of chairman PTI Thursday.
During the hearing of the case, Justice Yahya Afridi inquired from Latif Khosa, counsel for chairman PTI has the petitioner to surrender before court by appearing in person for seeking relief. Ask chairman PTI to appear before the court in person.
Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi inquired can chairman PTI appear today.
Counsel Latif Khosa said he will come to SC within an hour.
Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi remarked we say to chairman PTI to come today.
Justice Yahya Afridi remarked it will be better that state counsel reply comes first in this case. Then Chairman PTI should appear.
Aman Ullah Kanrani counsel for complainants told the court there is matter of appearing of chairman PTI before JIT in lawyer murder case.
Latif Khosa counsel for chairman PTI said we don’t accept JIT constituted in lawyer murder case.
Justice Yahya Afridi remarked the petitioner will have to appear in the court at every cost to seek interim relief. Why the chairman PTI did not resort to the respective forum to get abolish FIR.
Latif Khosa told the court we have come to SC via Balochistan High Court (BHC). And this is respective forum.
Justice Mazahar Ali Naqvi while addressing the counsel for the petitioner remarked “ you should take this matter seriously. The petitioner has to come in person to get quash FIR and for bail.
Copy of FIR is not there in the petition seeking quashment of case against chairman PTI. It should be mentioned in your petition that the case against Chairman PTI is baseless.
When investigation officer has not called chairman PTI accused then case is what.
Latif Khosa told the court the case under terrorism clauses is registered against chairman PTI.
Justice Mazahar Naqvi remarked investigator is of the view that chairman PTI is not cooperating in the investigation. Tell us who issued non bailable arrest warrants of chairman PTI and how.
The counsel for Balochistan government told the court to his information no such warrants are there against chairman PTI.
Justice Musarrat Hilali inquired does the complainant hold chairman PTI accused still.
Latif Khosa said the wife of the murdered person has said chairman PTI has no relevance with the murder of her husband. Step son of Abdul Razaq Shar has registered case against chairman PTI.
Justice Musarrat Hilali again inquired was any inquiry held against step son of Abdul Razaq Shar.
Counsel Aman Ullah Kanrani told the court step son of Abdul Razaq Shar is plaintiff in this case and not the widow of Abdul Razaq Shar.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till July 24.
