BALAKOT
An unfortunate incident took place at the Gatti Das location where a tourist car and a van collided and then fell into a deep ravine, resulting in the loss of eight lives and several injuries. Women and children were also among the injured.
There were fourteen tourists in the van while four on the car, police said. Upon receiving the information about the accident, the police and rescue teams immediately reached the scene and started rescue operations.
The injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment. Due to the critical condition of the injured, rescuers fear more fatalities.
