PESHAWAR
Chairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Muhammad Faiq Shah said rulers have left no stone unturned to add to the misery of inflation stricken people, saying that the government is taking measures to erase poor people instead of price-hike, poverty, hunger.
Shah made these remarks while talking to different delegations, including noted political figures, lawyers and social activists here on Friday.
He highly condemned the hike in power tariffs twice and thrice within a week.
Similarly, he said gas prices have extremely increased, which was unaffordable for the poor masses.
He said inflation has touched a new toll after slapping massive taxation by the government.
He said poor people are compelling on begging, suicide and starvation.
Faiq questioned: “How the poor people, especially daily-wagers will survive after the spiraling price-hike”?
He criticized the incumbent coalition government for failing to deliver the people during the last 15 months.
Day is not far away when rulers will be held accountable for their misdeeds, he added.
The ATP chairman vowed to raise voice for rights of downtrodden and poor segments of the society at every forum.
He added the party is carrying out a vigorous political campaign and awareness across the country.
He made it clear that issues cannot be resolved until and unless ensuring public authority and powers.
Shah said that ruling elites and politicians were busy in finalizing caretaker government and seat adjustment instead of addressing public issues like rising inflation, unemployment, poverty and deprivations.
He said, on the other hand, the world was making efforts to improve the lives of the people by eradicating poverty.
The ATP chairman went on to say that every segment of the society was suffering from depression and tension due to the economic situation highlighting the country was not poor but the rulers made it so by adding all the people involved in non-serious issues.
