18 Outlaws arrested; huge cache of drugs and weapons recovered

Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 18 outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered a huge cache of drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), the Islamabad Capital Police have intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Aabpara police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Bilal and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession. Ramna police team arrested an accused namely Maqam Khan and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession. Golra police team arrested the accused namely Nadeem Khan and recovered 20 liters of alcohol from his possession.
Likewise, the Tarnol police team arrested the accused namely Bashir Ahmed, Adnan Butt and Farman and recovered one 8mm rifle, one 12 bore rifle and one 9mm pistol with ammunition from their possession.
Sangjani police team arrested three accused namely Ehsan Ali, Muhammad Shakeel and Ghulam Khaliq and recovered one 30 bore pistol, one 12 bore gun and 515 gram heroin from their possession.
The Shams Colony police team arrested three accused including a lady drug peddler namely Kamran Nawaz, Asif Masih and Humaira Bibi and recovered 3,330 gram hashish, one 30 bore pistol with ammunition and 16 bottles of liquor from their possession.
Similarly, the Noon police team arrested the accused namely Zahid Imran and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession. The Kirpa police team arrested two accused namely Muhammad Zafar Khan, Awal Nawaz Khan and recovered one 32 bore revolver and 200 gram hashish from their possession.
The Phulgran police team arrested three accused namely Zahid , Muavia Munir and Amjad and recovered 850 gram heroin, 510 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from their possession.
The Nilore police team arrested an accused namely Hassnain Anjeeb and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
CPO/DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari directed all senior officials for an effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons and said that the safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility. He maintained that the performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis.
