Islamabad: Economic Affairs Division had to pay a fine of over 63 crore rupees due to incompetence, non-timely utilization of foreign loans. According to audit documents, due to non-timely utilization of foreign loans taken for various projects, the Economic Affairs Division had to pay more than Rs.6373 million. Documents revealed that during the last fiscal year, approved loans for various projects in the country which are received in the form of installments could not be taken on time and according to the agreement made for these loans, fines are paid in case of non-payment of installments on time. due to which the Economic Affairs Division had to pay more than Rs.63 crores. According to the documents, due to the incompetence of the Economic Affairs Division, the national treasury has suffered this loss and in this regard, Responsibility should be imposed on the project director of the related projects.
