ISLAMABAD
Preparations have been started to drop a petrol bomb on inflation stricken people once again. The costs of petroleum products are likely to be raised from September 1 due to depreciation of rupee. Petrol prices are likely to increase by RS 10 per liter while cost of high speed diesel may increase by RS 15 per liter. The final approval of increase in prices will be given by Ministry of Finance in consultation with Caretaker Prime Minister (PM).
The increase in the costs of petroleum products will be done in next 15 days.
It is proposed to increase the petroleum levy on diesel by RS 2 besides maintaining the levy on kerosene and petrol.
