Recovery of abducted girl case
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has raised questions on the performance of police in the case of recovery of a woman in Islamabad. IHC has directed IG Police Islamabad to appear before it on September 19 in person in this matter. Sidra Bibi abduction case came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Justice Tariq Jahangiri Wednesday. Police station Lohi Bher Islamabad has registered FIR number 517/2023 with reference to abduction and recovery of Sidra Bibi. Justice Jahangiri remarked this case relates to justice of peace. We are hearing this case due to its importance. How can police present the girl unless it recovers her. If police are not cooperating then we call them. Syed Khawar Bokhari advocate while pursuing the petition of Rasoolan Bibi aunt of Sidra Bibi argued the case is registered against some unknown persons. While police is aware of the accused persons to some extent. Because one phone call had come and police are not cooperating. IG Islamabad be summoned and reply be sought from him. The girl has disappeared since last four months. The court while adjourning the hearing of the case till September 19 has summoned IG Police Islamabad to appear before it in person. Online
