LAHORE: Election Commission (EC) has stopped Punjab University (PU) administration from making new appointments without permission. In a letter issued to PU administer EC has said new teachers be not appointed without permission. The letter said what advertisement the PU administration had given for appointment of teachers on July 29 is violation of election act 2017. The advertisement issued for new appointments be withdrawn forthwith. Online
