Pakistan guarantees comprehensive security for Chinese nationals

Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti, during a meeting with Chinese counterpart Zhaohong, guaranteed comprehensive security for Chinese nationals in Pakistan.
He affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing collaboration with China for shared development and security while highlighting the Chinese Minister of Public Security’s commendation for Pakistan’s efforts in combating terrorism and narcotics, and safeguarding Chinese citizens and assets.
The caretaker interior minister also emphasised that through collaborative efforts, Pakistan and China can effectively counter any hostile intentions from external sources.
Meanwhile, on the orders of Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti, the plan to implement the deportation of foreigners residing illegally in Pakistan has been forwarded to the Ministry of Interior.
According to police, the illegal immigrants would be deported with the cooperation of their embassies.
The country’s immigration authorities conducted 21 operations at different places against the illegal immigrants and registered 39 cases against them.
Police said 298 illegal immigrants are facing cases in courts. Yesterday, as many as 17 Afghan nationals staying illegally in Pakistan were presented before the court, they added.
