Pakistan Road Runner Group completed 300kg from Swabi to Chitral on walk

President of Pakistan Road Runner Group Jamal Syed has said that he along with his friend, completed a long distance of 300km from Swabi to Chitral in five-days on walk in order to highlight the importance of running and walking for a healthy life style.
This he said while addressing a press conference at Chitral Press Club. He said Marathon is a famous sport in the world, which is being played an important role in keeping a person agile and should keep away from diseases.
A person who will run eight kilometers every day, can spend a healthier life. He will be protected from all kinds of diseases, he said. Along with Jamal Syed, his companion was Murad Khan, a 27-year-old youth, who belongs to Charsadda, he said.
He said he ran 60 kilometers daily and on the first day his camp was Takhtbhai, while on the second day Gulabad Lower Dir, on the third day Sahibabad, on the fourth day Lowari Tunnel and on the fifth day they reached Chitral, Jamal Syed said. He said his marathon run aim is to highlight the importance of walk and running.
The people eat simple food, vegetables, drink clean water during his long journey. They valued water and plant a trees during his their walk and running journey. He said the Chitral calamite in under threat, therefore, protection of forests and new plantations are very important to keep the area safe from floods.
Similarly, the construction of dams is the backbone for regional development and prosperity of the mother land. Today, the electricity crisis in the country has left all the people hanging. Now the energy shortage is a big issue for the people of Pakistan.
That healthy activities take people far away from hospitals, Jamal said. He said while showing concern about the youth. He said use of drug by the youth is alarming threat not only to their own live but to their families and the using drugs ruined the live of the youth.
He also urged the youth of Chitral to plant trees for safeguarding the environment of the valley and in this the students of Chitral University and Chitral Forest Department could come up with a long lasting plan.
Chitral is beautiful valley, he said, adding, “Chitral is a good place for National and International level marathon competitions. He said Pakistan Road Rnner Group has thousands of runners registered but for this we need support from the public and private companies to come up and support a noble cause associated with the health of youth.
He said to attract the domestic and foreign tourists, such marathon is very much importance through which we could highlight the area and its beauty as well. He expressed his opinion about the performance of Culture and Tourism Authority Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in relation to the development of tourism.
