37 outlaws including professional baggers arrested: drugs and weapons recovered

Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 37 outlaws including 16 professional baggers from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered drugs, liquor and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Aabpara police team arrested two accused namely Noman Jameel and Fahad and recovered 20 liters of liquor and 530 gram hashish from their possession.
The Tarnol police team arrested three accused namely Hanif, Nisar and Zia Ul Haq involved in illegally selling diesel and petrol and refilling gas cylinders.
Likewise, the Sangjani police team arrested an accused namely Mohsin Ali and recovered 120 gram heroin from his possession.
The Industrial Area police team arrested three accused namely Shoaib Sadiq, Waqar Ali and Akhtar Ali and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition, 140 gram heroin and 20 liters liquor from their possession.
Similarly, the Sabzi Mandi police team arrested two accused namely Umair Ali and Mursaleen and recovered two 30 bore pistols with ammunition from their possession.
The Shahzad Town police team arrested an accused namely Shoukat Ali and recovered 510 gram hashish from his possession. The Bani Gala police team arrested an accused namely Rizwan and recovered 350 gram hashish from his possession.
Moreover, the Khanna police team arrested three accused namely Gulab Khan, Akash Ali and Dawood Khan and recovered 1795 gram heroin from their possession.
The Kirpa police team arrested two accused namely Sajjad and Mubarak and recovered one 30 bore pistol and one dagger from their possession.
Furthermore, the Sihala police team arrested an accused namely Anwar and recovered 300 gram heroin from his possession. The Humak police team arrested an accused namely Dilbar Khan and recovered 1653 gram heroin from his possession. The Lohi Bher police team arrested an accused namely Syed Ali and recovered 88 gram heroin from his possession.
During the special campaign against professional baggers and their handlers the Islamabad Capital Police teams have arrested 16 professional baggers from various areas of the city. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he maintained.
