PESHAWAR: District Jail Abbottabad in collaboration with Al-Khidmat Foundation (AKF) held a free medical camp for the inmates of the prison on Thursday. Besides, AKF, the senior and experienced doctors of health department and Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH) examined a large number of prisoners and distributed free medicines amongst them. Superintendent District Jail Abbottabad, Hamid Azam Khan has expressed gratitude to the senior leadership of the foundation including Abduraziq Abbasi, Malik Tanvir and others for extending their full support for giving practical shape to the camp. He said that the foundation has also pledged for provision of Ultrasound specialist and lab technician to the prison, beside, making a commitment to install a water filtration plant in District Jail Abbottabad. On this occasion, the management of the jail and officials of the Al-Khidmat Foundation also discussed imparting technical skills and rehabilitation of the drug addicts.
