On the special instructions of Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan, a preliminary meeting of a committee aimed at establishing a uniform housing allotment policy for government servants took place. Chaired by Caretaker Minister for Law and Human Rights KP, Justice Retired Syed Arshad Hussain, the committee included key members such as Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Housing and Transport, Zafar Ullah Khan Umarzai, Secretary Housing, Secretary Law, and Director General of KPHA. The meeting resulted in a consensus to review existing housing policies across various government departments, organizations, and autonomous bodies, both federal and provincial, within the Housing Sector. This comprehensive examination will pave the way for a proposal rooted in principles of fairness, ensuring equal opportunities for government servants from all departments and ranks in a consistent manner.

The proposed policy will undergo scrutiny by the committee and subsequently be submitted to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Authority for approval and implementation.

Additionally, the Law Minister advised the Secretary of Housing to promptly draft a justified proposal in accordance with these principles, with the aim of expediting the development of a plot allotment policy for government servants. The proposal will then be presented to the Authority Board for approval, following the recommendations of the committee established by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
