KARACHI: Director General Sindh Food Authority Agha Fakhar Hussain has visited Food Sciences and Technology Department Karachi University. On this occasion, he chaired a meeting regarding arrangements to celebrate World Food Day in collaboration with Karachi University on October 16. Director General Agha Fakhar Hussain said that Food Testing Lab established in Karachi University would be inaugurated on World Food Day. He also inspected the Food Testing Lab established in Karachi University. On this occasion, Chairperson Food Sciences Department Madam Shahina, Assistant Professor Karachi University Dr Ghafran Saeed, Professor Syed Tufail Hussain Shah Sindh University, Director Technical Sindh Food Authority Dr. Ahmad Ali Shaikh and Moin Qureshi of Nutrition International were also present. DG SFA Agha Fakhar Hussain while speaking on the occasion said that experts in food sciences were training the staff of Sindh Food Authority and we were working with all stakeholders including Nutrition International to improve the capacity of the staff of Sindh Food Authority.
He further said that through training in the lab, the staff of the authority was being adapted to the modern requirements of testing. The trained staff could perform their duties better.
