As a result of the Gaza war, Israel is facing a loss of billions of dollars.
According to the report of the Israeli newspaper, referring to the preliminary data of the Ministry of Finance, Israel will lose 200 billion shekels (51 billion dollars) as a result of this war.
This amount is equal to 10% of Israel’s GDP.
Report further stated that if the war continues for 8 to 12 months, so much damage will be done.
According to the report, this loss estimate is without the involvement of Hezbollah, Iran or Yemen in the war, and also assumes that 3.5 million Israelis who are part of the reserve military forces will soon return to their jobs. .
According to the Israeli newspaper, the Ministry of Finance has described the loss of 200 billion shekels as an “optimistic” estimate.
On the other hand, the Israeli Ministry of Finance said that the newspaper’s data is not correct.
Report stated that according to this estimate, there may be a defense expenditure of one billion shekels per day, while another 40 to 60 billion shekels will be lost by stopping various business activities.
Likewise, 17 to 20 billion shekels will be paid to businesses to compensate for the damage, while 10 to 20 billion shekels will be required for rehabilitation.
