Agriculture University of Peshawar and Agriculture Research Facilitation Complex (ARFC) sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to extend cooperation in the field of research.
Under the MoU, the Military Family Rehabilitation Organization (MFRO) will provide assistance to Agriculture University of Peshawar for carrying out research and development activities at the Agriculture Research and Facilitation Complex (ARFC) Chapu Bahawalpur.
ViceChancellor (VC) Agricultural University Peshawar Prof Dr Jahan Bakht and Director General (DG) Land and Directorate at GHQ Brigadier Arshad Taufiq signed the MoU.
Director modern farming Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Brigadier Muhammad Amir Kiani, Prof Dr Muhammad Arif of Agricultural University Peshawar and Professor Dr Syed Mehr Ali Shah were also present on this occasion.
According to a statement, the MFRO will provide internship research opportunities to 20 to 25 in modern agricultural machinery, quality seeds, fertilizers and pesticides and other facilities.
The organization will also assist the university in carrying out research activities, crop experiments, various crop adaptation trials, pest control, entomology, biotic and abiotic stresses, climate change, and soil sciences activities.
It will provide research activities related to water management, research facility fertility mapping and fertilizer recommendations, establishment of nurseries for forest trees and horticultural plants and consultancy facilities for landscaping, livestock management and animal breeding. .
VC Dr Jahan Bakht said that the students who graduated from the University of Agriculture Peshawar are serving in agriculture and livestock and other important fields at national and international level.
